Whooper Bonus

I have said many times before that with wildlife photography you never know what will turn up when you head for the hills. On one of those superb winter afternoons last week I set off for the high moors hoping for some Owl activity – I never got there!! As I drove past an insignificant reservoir I was gobsmacked to see twenty six white birds near the far bank.Who would have expected a party of adult Whooper Swans on a Pennine reservoir? It was a first for me and unlikely to ever happen again. www.facebook.com/gordonyateswildlife
